Invenergy Hosts Community Open House on Bull Run Wind Project

Local residents and clean energy company representatives discuss plans and economicbenefits of 300 MW wind project
CHICAGO (Oct. 19, 2015) – On Thursday evening, Invenergy held an open house for the ClintonCounty, New York community on the company’s proposed Bull Run Wind Energy Center (BullRun). Numerous residents and stakeholders joined Invenergy representatives at NorthernAdirondack Central High School in nearby Ellenburg for an open dialogue about the project thatwill be located on roughly 24,000 acres of private land in Clinton County.
The wind project would consist of 50-100 wind turbines, with a total capacity of up to 300 MW. Atfull capacity, this project would provide power enough for nearly 115,000 New York homes, morethan exist in Rochester. In addition to creating local jobs during construction and operation, BullRun will generate several million dollars in annual revenue for the community, benefitting thearea’s schools, services and first responders. Each year Bull Run is expected to offset up to413,000 tons of CO2 emissions, 1,500 tons of SO2, and 560 tons of NOX.
Excellent wind resources and welcoming landowners make this a great location for the project.Today, Invenergy is the owner and operator of three other wind farms in the state, for a totaloperating portfolio of 222 MW.
