CHICAGO, Illinois - (May 20, 2011) – Invenergy Wind LLC (“Invenergy”) announced today the closing of an agreement to acquire the Des Moulins wind energy project in Quebec, Canada from wind developer 3Ci. Once operational, Des Moulins will be a 156 MW facility producing enough clean, renewable energy to power more than 50,000 homes.
The Des Moulins project is located in the municipalities of Kinnear’s Mills, St-Jean-de-Brébeuf, and Thetford Mines and is expected to begin commercial operation in 2013. It has a 20-year power supply contract with Hydro-Québec.

Des Moulins will connect to a 230 kV power transmission line of the Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie transmission grid at a substation located near the power line. The project will consist of ENERCON E-822.3 MW wind turbine generators. ENERCON Canada Inc. headquarters are located in Montreal, with a manufacturing facility in Matane.
This will be Invenergy's third wind project in Quebec. Both the 138.6 MW Le Plateau Wind Energy Centre (“Le Plateau”), which is under construction and scheduled for completion in 2011, and the 23 MW LePlateau 2 Wind Energy Centre, an expansion of Le Plateau that will be completed in 2013, also have 20-year power purchase agreements with Hydro-Québec.

Invenergy fait l’acquisition du projet éolien Des Moulins de 156 MW au Québec
CHICAGO, le 20 mai 2011 -- Invenergy Wind LLC (« Invenergy ») annonce aujourd’hui la conclusionde l’acquisition du projet d’énergie éolienne Des Moulins au Québec, Canada du développeur éolien3Ci. Lorsqu’il sera opérationnel, Des Moulins sera une installation de 156 MW capable de produiresuffisamment d’énergie propre et renouvelable pour alimenter en électricité plus de 50 000 foyers.
Le projet Des Moulins est situé dans les municipalités de Kinnear's Mills, St-Jean-de-Brébeuf etThetford Mines, et devrait débuter l’exploitation commerciale en 2013. Il fait l’objet d’un contratd’approvisionnement en électricité de 20 ans avec Hydro-Québec.

Le projet Des Moulins se branchera à une ligne de transmission d’énergie de 230 kV du réseau detransmission Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie au niveau d’un poste de raccordement situé à proximitéde la ligne électrique. Le projet sera constitué d’éoliennes ENERCON E-82 de 2.3 MW. Le sièged’ENERCON Canada Inc. se trouve à Montréal et la société possède un site de fabrication àMatane.
Ce sera le troisième projet éolien d’Invenergy au Québec. Le Centre d’énergie éolienne Le Plateaud’une capacité de 138,6 MW, dont l’achèvement est prévu pour 2011, et le centre d’énergie éolienneLe Plateau 2, extension du centre Le Plateau d’une capacité de 23 MW, qui devrait être terminé en2013, font également l’objet de contrats d’approvisionnement en électricité d’une durée de 20 ansavec Hydro-Québec.
