Invenergy acquires 156MW Canadian project

CANADA: Invenergy has acquired the 156 MW Des Moulins wind energy project in Quebec from wind developer 3Ci.
The project is located in Kinnear's Mills, St-Jean-de-Brebeuf, and Thetford Mines, and will come online in 2013. It also has a 20-year PPA with Hydro-Quebec.
Des Moulins will consist of 52 Enercon E-82 turbines.
This will be Invenergy’s third Canadian project. The Chicago-based company has set its sights on Canada in recent years and was one of the big winners in last year’s feed-in-tariff tender in Ontario.
