CHICAGO (Nov. 12, 2015) – Invenergy Wind LLC (“Invenergy”) announced today the completion ofconstruction and the start of commercial operation of its 37.5 MW Gorzyca Wind Farm (“Gorzyca”)in Darlowo and Malechowo, Poland. Gorzyca was constructed with joint venture partner Enercospółka z o. o. sp. k. (“Enerco”).
Gorzyca is located approximately 16 kilometers from the Baltic Sea near the towns of Darlowo andMalechowo, which is approximately 482 kilometers northwest of Warsaw and features15 GE 2.5 XLEwind turbines.
Gorzyca will benefit its host community by providing a number of local jobs as well as tax revenueto local governments. The energy center will also help in achieving the binding Poland RenewableEnergy Standard target of 20 percent by 2021 as set forth in the 2009 European Union (“EU”) climateand energy package.
