Invenergy Commences Full Commercial Operation of Goldthwaite Wind Energy Center

CHICAGO, Illinois (June 13, 2014) – Today, Invenergy Wind LLC (“Invenergy”)announced that it has commenced full commercial operation of its 148.6 MWGoldthwaite Wind Energy Center (“Goldthwaite”) in Mills County, Texas.
Located southeast of the town of Goldthwaite and approximately 100 miles north ofAustin, in the ERCOT North Zone, the facility utilizes 83 GE 1.7 MW wind turbines,which began operating in December. In addition, three GE 2.5 MW brilliant windturbines at Goldthwaite are now operational. This marks the first U.S. installation of theGE 2.5 MW brilliant turbines, which feature short-term battery storage.

Goldthwaite provides substantial ongoing economic benefit through significant propertytax payments, landowner lease payments, and salaries to a full-time staff of operationand maintenance employees.
