CHICAGO - (May 9, 2011) – Invenergy Wind LLC (“Invenergy”) announced today the successful closing of construction and term loan facilities for its Le Plateau wind energy project (“Le Plateau”), currently under construction in Quebec, Canada.
RBC Capital Markets and Natixis, New York Branch acted as lead arrangers and bookrunners for the loan facilities. BayernLB, Rabobank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation of Canada acted as joint lead arrangers. Union Bank, Canada Branch also acted as a lender.
“We are pleased to complete this financing for our Le Plateau wind energy project,” said Jim Murphy, Invenergy’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. “This is Invenergy’s first Quebec-based project that has completed financing. It is our third project financing in Canada.”
Le Plateau is a 138.6 MW project that will be able to generate enough renewable energy to power more than 45,000 homes. It is scheduled for completion in December of 2011 and has a 20-year power purchase agreement with Hydro-Quebéc. Le Plateau will be connected to a 315 kV power transmission line of the Hydro-Quebéc TransÉnergie transmission grid at a substation located near the power line.
The project will utilize 60 Enercon E-70 wind turbines. Construction is being managed by CER of Québec. Enercon will provide operations and maintenance services at Le Plateau.
The development of Le Plateau received strong support from its host community in the MRC d’Avignon.

Invenergy complète le financementdu projet éolien Le Plateau
Chicago, le 9 mai 2011 – Invenergy Wind LLC (« Invenergy ») annonce aujourd’hui la clôture du financement reliéà la construction et au long terme de son projet éolien Le Plateau (« Le Plateau »). Le projet est actuellement enconstruction au Québec (Canada).
RBC Capital Markets et la succursale new yorkaise de Natixis ont rempli les fonctions d’arrangeurs principaux et decourriers pour les facilités de prêt. BayernLB, Rabobank et Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation of Canada onttenu le rôle d’arrangeurs principaux conjoints. La succursale canadienne de l’Union Bank a aussi fait office deprêteur.

Le Plateau, d’une puissance de 138,6 MW, produira l’énergie renouvelable nécessaire à l’alimentation de plus de45 000 foyers. La mise en service du projet est prévue pour décembre 2011. Le projet est lié à un contrat d’achatd’électricité de 20 ans avec Hydro-Québec. Le parc éolien sera raccordé à une ligne électrique existante de 315 kVdu réseau d’Hydro-Québec TransÉnergie par un poste de raccordement à proximité.
Le projet prévoit l’installation de 60 éoliennes de type Enercon E-70. La construction sera sous la responsabilité dela firme québécoise CER. Enercon fournira les services d’entretien des éoliennes et en assurera le bonfonctionnement.
Le projet de parc éolien Le Plateau a reçu un accueil très favorable de la communauté hôte de la MRC d’Avignon.
