The expansion project is expected to be completed in early 2008 and will bring the Scurry County wind farm to 250.5 MW. Strong support from officials with Scurry County,Western Texas College and the Hermleigh and Snyder Independent School Districts wasinstrumental in helping both phases of the project move forward on a fast track basis.
The project interconnects with Oncor, the transmission affiliate of TXU and all power will be sold into the ERCOT market. Energy price risk is hedged through long-term agreements with Fortis Energy Marketing for the first phase of the project and CreditSuisse Energy for the expansion.
