Invenergy Completes Project Financing For Spring Canyon Expansion Wind Energy Center

CHICAGO, IL (August 29, 2014) – Invenergy Wind LLC (“Invenergy”) announced today that it hasarranged project financing for its 60 MW Spring Canyon Expansion Wind Energy Center (“SpringCanyon Expansion”), which currently is under construction in Logan County, Colorado.
Rabobank Nederland, New York Branch acted as the Sole Lead Arranger, Administrative Agent,and Lender for the transaction.
Spring Canyon Expansion is located near the Town of Peetz, approximately 130 miles northeast ofthe City of Fort Collins. The facility is comprised of two phases – Spring Canyon II and III – and willconsist of 35 GE 1.7-100 MW wind turbines. Commercial operation is expected to commence inthe fourth quarter of 2014, with output purchased by the Fort Collins-based Platte River PowerAuthority through a 25-year agreement.

The general contractor for Spring Canyon Expansion is Wanzek Construction, Inc. of North Dakota.The project site is located near Invenergy’s existing Spring Canyon Energy facility, a 60 MW windfarm in operation since 2006. Invenergy also has developed two other power generation projectsin Colorado: the 199.5 MW Logan Wind project in Peetz, and the 314 MW Spindle Hill natural gasfired peaking plant in Fort Lupton.
