Invenergy Completes Sale of Interest in Wake Wind Energy Center to Southern Company subsidiary Southern Power

CHICAGO (Oct. 29, 2016) – Leading clean energy company Invenergy LLC (“Invenergy”) todayannounced the sale of a controlling interest in its 257 MW Wake Wind Energy Center toSouthern Company subsidiary Southern Power. Invenergy will own the remaining interest in theproject and will operate and maintain the facility.
Wake Wind is located approximately 10 miles northeast of the city of Crosbyton, 50 miles eastof Lubbock. The facility consists of 150 GE 1.715 MW wind turbines. Construction wascompleted and the facility reached full commercial operations earlier this month.
Blattner Energy Inc. was the project’s contractor for civil/mechanical scope and the transmissionline, while EPC Services was the contractor for the electrical substation.
