NEW YORK, NY – January 19, 2023 – Invenergy, the leading privately held global developer, owner, and operator of sustainable energy solutions, today announced the opening of the company’s expanded New York City office, located in the historic Starrett-Lehigh Building at 601 West 26th Street. Adding to Invenergy’s regional offices in Ithaca and Buffalo, the New York City office serves as a hub for the company’s robust pipeline of projects in the state and its rapidly expanding offshore wind and transmission businesses, which is highlighted by its Leading Light Wind project and Clean Path NY project respectively. With more than 50 employees across the state, the office marks another significant milestone in Invenergy’s commitment to growing New York’s clean energy economy. “New York is one of the most prominent leaders in clean energy commitments, and we are incredibly excited about Invenergy’s continued growth in the Empire State,” said James J. In addition to the Leading Light Wind offshore wind project and the Clean Path NY transmission line, Invenergy has five fully operational clean energy projects, one under construction and two projects under contract. Invenergy’s generation capacity totals 890 megawatts of clean energy in New York State, enough energy to power 260,000 homes annually. Additionally, the company’s full New York development pipeline includes more onshore wind, solar, battery storage and green hydrogen projects.
