Invenergy Services Receives American Wind Energy Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Operations

CHICAGO, IL – (November 3, 2011) – Invenergy Services LLC (“Invenergy Services’) is pleased to announce that Senior Vice President of Operations and Asset Management Alex George, on behalf of Invenergy Services, has been named the recipient of the 2011 Outstanding Achievement in Operations Award by the American Wind Energy Association (“AWEA”). AWEA is the nation’s wind industry trade association, with more than 2,500 member companies.
Invenergy Services is the Operations & Maintenance (“O&M”) affiliate of Invenergy LLC (“Invenergy”), an operator of large-scale renewable and other clean energy generation facilities in North America and Europe with a growing portfolio of more than 4,800 MW of wind and thermal power plants. As America’s largest independent wind power generation company, Invenergy’s 21 operating wind farms consist of more than 1,200 turbines.
Invenergy Services has achieved operational and safety excellence during a period of rapid growth, and has established exemplary relationships with utilities, landowners, and contractors; conducted cutting-edge research; and implemented an innovative, self-directed, merit-based O&M tech development program.

The award was announced today, and will be formally presented on Thursday, November 3rd, at AWEA’s 2011 Wind Energy Fall Symposium in Carlsbad, California.

Mr. George has over 28 years of broad experience in the power industry including engineering, construction, project development, commissioning, operations and asset management in avariety of fuel sources such as wind, natural gas, oil, coal, biomass and nuclear.
