CHICAGO, Illinois (Jan. 24, 2017) – Invenergy Wind LLC (“Invenergy”) announced its Number Three Wind Farm in New York State was selected as one of a handful of renewable energy projects to receive funding from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office announced the $360 million in funding for NYSERDA to award 11 renewable energy projects in his State-of-the-State address earlier this month as part of the Clean Energy Standard, mandating that 50 percent of the New York's electricity come from renewable energy sources by 2030.
Invenergy’s 105.8 MW Number Three Wind Farm will include wind turbines in the towns of Lowville and Harrisburg in Lewis County and is expected to be operational in 2019. The project will be comprised of 35-50 wind turbines.

Invenergy currently has more than 220 MW of operating wind projects in the state of New York, with another 1,165 MW of wind and solar projects in development across the state. In October the company announced a proposal for Long Island’s largest renewable energy project, the Clean Energy Link, designed to deliver renewable, reliable and affordable energy to the residents of Long Island. The Clean Energy Link consists of four new wind and two new solar farms located within the PJM regional power market – which is comprised of 13 states and the District of Columbia – with a combined capacity exceeding 700 megawatts. All the renewable energy from these projects will be joined into a single portfolio and delivered to the island from PJM via a new buried HVDC transmission line, ending at a net-zero converter station on Long Island.
