On Grain Belt Express, Polsky said: This is the largest electricity infrastructure project right now in the United States. We will be unleashing American energy. We will be lowering the costs. We will be creating energy independence.
Polsky continued: Grain Belt Express is really what is needed in the United States. Without electricity, we cannot do AI or increase domestic production. Electricity is the key now for the economy.
When asked about the $1.7 billion investment in energizing America, Polsky said: It's a huge investment that will create 22,000 jobs along the way between transmission and generation.
On the need for interregional transmission to prevent an electricity emergency, Polsky said: What the President said in his Executive Order is this is an energy emergency, an electricity emergency. And we need electricity now, and we need domestic sources to reduce costs. So, Grain Belt Express exactly fulfills President Trump’s ambition of energy independence.
Polsky concluded: Interregional transmission is the highway system for the electrons for electricity to move from where it's produced to where it's needed to power AI for data centers and industries. It’s much-needed electricity in this country to really unleash American energy, domestic energy to be able to power our businesses, particularly with the with manufacturing and AI emphasis here now in the United States.
Grain Belt Express — America’s largest interregional transmission line that’s private-sector led and market-driven— will deliver:
