The facility can move up to 20 megawatts of electricity at a moment's notice. The site has also contributed more than $60,000 in investments to the local community through taxes and payments to the county, towns, school districts and local fire departments. In recognition of the project’s technical prowess, the Orangeville energy storage project received Energy Storage North America’s Innovation award and the Energy Storage Association’s Outstanding Industry Achievement award.
